Gospel Country Music

I was fortunate to be raised in a time when Verne Gosdin was in his prime, musically. He was one of the great voices in country music in his time. In fact, he was known as “The Voice”.  And yet, it seemed he was not placed on the same level as other great voices such as George Jones, Merle Haggard, etc.  However, in my opinion, carried the same soulful expression that those others did. Having a love of country gospel music, I was thrilled when Mr. Gosdin put out his country gospel cd, “The Gospel Album“.  It combines the best of an amazing country voice, with gospel music to form a beautiful blend, and another example of where country music and the gospel of Jesus Christ come together!
